& Talk with Artist Paul Armesto
Join us to hear International Classical Artist Paul Armesto discuss the meaning and symbolism behind his work at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception’s Blessed Michael McGivney Parish Center in Waterbury. Discover his 42-foot mural of the Wedding Feast of Cana, a 100-figure ceiling mural depicting salvation history, and additional paintings of the four evangelists—Matthew, Mark, Luke and John—in the basement chapel. Armesto, known for creating the world’s largest oil painting, has works in churches across Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Costa Rica and France.
Parking is available in a lot behind the Basilica via Prospect Street. Enter using the side entrance across from the Rectory and proceed to the lower level.
