How to Apply: Grants Overview

We are currently accepting applications!

Deadline: March 1, 2025

Who can apply?

As set forth in the HBF Charter, we welcome applications from organizations and associated ministries that are affiliated with those listed in the Official Catholic Directory for the Archdiocese of Hartford (AoH), as well as programs operated under the auspices of the AoH.


Important Facts:

  • Multiyear commitments will not be made at this time.
  • Average awards will range between $5,000 to $25,000.


Application Process

Apply

  • 2 times a year. Deadlines in March 1st and October 1st
  • All applications must be either mailed or emailed to the Hartford Bishops’ Foundation (467 Bloomfield Avenue, Bloomfield CT 06002 or email Bailey.Lavoie@aohct.org)

Decide

  • HBF Grants Committee and Executive Committee review.

Award

  • Award letters/deferments/denials will be sent.
  • Award acceptance includes a publicity requirement
  • Check disbursements in person in June and December.
