Foundation Prayer

Father in heaven,

we stand before you as your sons and daughters

who have been reborn to new life through your son Jesus Christ.

We ask that you look graciously upon the spiritual and material needs of our Archdiocese

so that we and all its members,

by faith and charity,

may truly be for others the light of the world and the salt of the earth.

As we gather today,

we implore the gift of the Holy Spirit

to discern wisely and well the matters placed before us.

We make our prayer through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
