Ways to Support Us

Following are methods for giving that you may wish to consider for enabling the work supported through The Hartford Bishops’ Foundation, Inc.

The Hartford Bishops Foundation, Inc. is seeking major gifts that may be considered by some as once-in-a-lifetime donations to the Archdiocese of Hartford.
Outright Gift
You may make your contribution outright in a single amount at the time of your pledge or on a date that you specify. Please note the “Make A Gift Now” button on this page.
Multi-Year Pledge
You may wish to spread your contributions up to five years. You have the opportunity to specify the frequency (monthly, quarterly or annually) and start date for your pledge.
Securities
Gifts of securities are accepted by the Archdiocese of Hartford. The securities may be given so that the donor receives a tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the donated assets and can often avoid capital gains tax on the donated assets. The Archdiocese of Hartford will work with donors and their broker to help facilitate the donation of both marketable and closely held securities.
Real Property
You may make contributions to The Hartford Bishops’ Foundation, Inc. by transferring real estate.  You will receive the full current market value of your real estate on the date of transfer toward your pledge, less transaction expenses. No capital gains will be paid by you and the full market value can be counted as a charitable gift for income tax purposes. Please consult counsel to confirm your eligibility based on personal circumstances. The Archdiocese of Hartford has a Gift Acceptance Policy and donors are asked to discuss their gift of real property with the Archdiocese before making a commitment.

For more information, please contact Mr. John LaFramboise, Executive Director of the Hartford Bishops’ Foundation, Inc., 467 Bloomfield Avenue, Bloomfield, CT 06002. Telephone: 860-913-2627. Thank you.
